But the Boy Scouts of America is dependent upon Federal, State and local government handouts. Noteworthy: Famous Eagle Scouts include Steven Spielberg, H. Ross Perot, Gerald Ford, and Neil Armstrong.(unconfirmed) ** In the early 90's Jere Ratcliffe was picked to lead the Boy Scout's National Council in 1993, taking over from Norm Augustine, CEO of Lockheed Martin. (that'sfuckinginteresting) Scouts wear a military-style uniform but have no affiliation with the military or the U.S. government. According the Bullshit episode, the Boy Scouts of America hold a congressional charter, received funding from the government each year and have been allowed to lease government land for FREE to use for jamborees, etc. No affiliation?
