impressed by the Oscars

In the beginning, while watching the opening seconds of the 81st Oscars I was like... Huh? What's this? Hugh Jackman in a musical called Oscar- ?!? ...no thank you I thought. Perplexed we sat watching... *crickets* But my opinion has quickly changed~ and now I'm in LOVE with all the new things I'm seeing... Reinvention. During the opening number Hugh Jackman cracked himself up formatting was drastically changed and the result is thrilling. Thrilling and GLITTERY!! I'm so thankful for this piece of television. and then the musical numbers start again... *whine* Up to-the-minute Category Winners There's thoughtfulness in the 81st attempt at sending Oscar award. Introductions, category descriptions and spoken word- all facets of what makes it a good show- done in a more creative way than ever before. Impressed. A Goonie walked down the carpet this evening *swoon* which reminded me to see No Country For Old Men I giggled a lot when Ben Stiller came out all spaced and Joaquin Pheonix. I'm not one to watch the Oscars on a regular basis, in fact I was enjoying ski apres same time last year.
This year I relaxed and enjoyed a great night with a dynamic friend. I wouldn't have had it any other way!
Saturday I saw the Lion King. it.was.amazing. !!! Seattlye's eye candy Paramount Theater is the backdrop of the broadway show. Witness the most amazing costumes and props on a Seattle stage. Speechless afterwards congrats to those involved in the production
