Bonney Lake, Washington

So my bff in the whole world is nearly due to have her first baby this September. Congrats guys! This weekend was her baby shower and I had the honor of recording all the gifts and things she received from her friends and family into a small yellow legal pad. Nine pages later, and countless present bags full of of adorable onsie outfits and soft hooded bath towels... I think she and the baby are set! After the party we walked down to the lake (bonney lake/lake tapps) and took in some of the scenery we have been missing since moving away from the 253. Both of us long for the days spent out on docks sunning ourselves, on boats in secluded coves or messing around in the mud during Winter months when the lake was drained for power/water reasons. Both thankful to have grown up in such a great small town, both thankful for all the memories. \ We both decided we needed to get out on Tapps again; get a little silly and enjoy the sunshine once more- BEFORE the yucky green stuff starts to grow off the bottom. (blech) On my way home I stopped to take some pictures from my favorite island on the lake. Bankers Island. You cannot see Mt. Rainier in the background but it's there- huge and lovely!
